Photo + Music Entertainment?

After a fruitful shoot for my friend, an idea struck me all of a sudden. Why not i provide a double service? Like, asking one of my photographer friends to take photos while i do music entertainment like playing the guitar and singing? This idea sounds rather practical and i am gonna try it once i'm back from New Zealand. Right now, i need to get a Uke and start learning to play it. Please, let me know your comments and feedback about this idea!

Anyway, today was a total shopping spree! Woke up super early at 730am, got down to Liat Towers, entered Zara, picked my jacket and swooosh, 59 bucks gone. It was a steal actually, given that it was a thick jacket and that it was fashionable. Right after that, met weihan to return his book and then collected my visa. After lunch, went to Paragon, got my new shoes and swoooosh! 90 bucks gone. omg. never felt so happy even though i'm seriously broke. But... I got my $$ from the money i earned recently, and these items are indirectly bought for exchange.

Now i am all drained and i suspect i have swine. Haha. shit.

Happy Birthday Xue Ting! Sincerely wished that you enjoyed every single moment spent in your cosy little home in Bangkit. Very honoured to be employed by you for my services. Thanks for trusting me so much, in return for that, i will only present to you my best of your 21st birthday memories.

Has been a great day to really practise my indoor flash photography. It has not been very easy, took me about 50-70 shots to begin to get the hang of it. There was this crazy little bugger, whom i believe is the cousin who gets onto my nerve very often. Making comments like "I think it's very invasive to use flash inside the room" and "Using flash again?" and "What are you here for ah actually?" I was holding back my ah bengness for quite some time, seriously i felt like landing my fist onto his f*ck face. What was i there for? Take photograph la! Then help u clean the floor ar, crazy bastard. Indoor, low light, don't use flash use what? Use ur mother-f*cking-table-lamp is it? Well.. I soon got to realise that he is a bit crazy and therefore i decided to not take it to heart.

Everything else went according to plan (not as if i had one) and smoothly. The food was great, the people even greater and the experience was one-hell-of-an-important one for me. Even though i was already drained by the time the clock struck 8.30pm, i had to carry on photographing, bearing in mind my objective, that is only to capture the best moments. I sort of extended my stay till 10pm so that i could capture more stuff.

Watching her cry before her cake cutting somehow reminded me of my 21st, where i seriously cried a river. Well, i think there isn't a need for any details here, since i am already very tired and seriously need some sleep to continue touching up her photos.

This week has been pretttty hectic. Been meeting different groups of people just before i leave in 2 weeks time. Time flies really fast a few weeks before a major event. I still remember how i tell mario and jerome i will be leaving in 3 weeks time after returning from Darwin. Now, it is just 2 more weeks and i'm off.

Meeting up with different people makes me realize how friends are so important to me, and also that there are actually true friends out there for me. I must also take this chance to thank my friends : Rome and Rio, Yan and Min for making my Darwin trip so exciting and crazy. The filming of my inaugural movie : Ninja Warrior : Survivor Darwin and also English 101 were totally crazy. Other than the Darwin people, the special Indonians who made my trip to Jogja and Solo so damn fun and fruitful. Speaking and practising my Bahasa Indonesia in Indonesia was nothing really like what's happening during BI class. Special thanks to Ibu Fanny, SK and Alexandra for the extra company and fun injected into my 6 days in Jogja.

Thanks to kenne for his generosity in lending me his flash which i haven't really used for so long. Finally i will be using it tomorrow for Xueting's 21st birthday. Frankly speaking, i am not very confident about the shoot tomorrow but guess what? I will be all geared up for the best shootout of my life. Lunch was great today, although the weather isn't really. But, well i'm glad to meet up with my army mate.

As i am typing this blog post, i still have 9 -12 videos to edit and compile to finish up my Ninja warrior movie. I am so lagging behind and i hope to finish up before i leave for New Zealand on the 4th July. Yea, speaking of which, actually i do not expect a huge turnout for my departure but at this point of time, i foresee a rather big turnout on the 4th. This only shows how fortunate i am to have friends like these.

As for Buddy, hope you are enjoying every single moment out there in Germany. I cannot really forget but i can forget.

Well, i have nothing much to say already. I am dead beat from all the walking around today. Have to garner up some energy for tomorrow's big event. Here is a snippet of the movie Ninja Warrior!

Yes! I am finally going to escape from the extreme weathers of Singapore. Today had been quite a bad day, not being able to sleep properly the night before, i woke up rather early to do some clearing up before i head to Raffles Place to change some money. The rates were rather good, like 7062 per Sing Dollar. However, looking at the rates for NZD, my heart took a plunge. It's rising rising and rising. My heart is dropping dropping and dropping! Please, USD, please brace yourself up and rise!

I'm so sad, i will not be able to see my buddy for at least one year. Just learnt that today. It's bad! And she's leaving for London a few hours earlier than me leaving for Yogya. However, i know time will pass by like even before i know it and 1 year will be like 1 month, given the kind of things i will do in between that duration.

I am rather tired now and i think i should go now. Keep logged on for photos!

Kill all the Commuters

Been a very angsty and bad Thursday! Every moment today was a moment of "damn this stupid person, i wish i could kill him or her" . First started with a stupid commuter on the train. As usual, the train was packed. As far as i can remember, there wasn't a time where the train isn't packed. Everybody was squishing and squashing and it was quite bad and my mood started taking a turn for the worse. Upon reaching City Hall, this damn lady, i guess in the middle ages, pushed me from behind even before the freaking doors were opened. I turned back and gave the " i-am-so-gonna-kill-u-now" look. Seriously, what the hell is wrong with all these people? I finally see how Singaporeans are accused of not bring gracious. Here is a puuuuurfect example of why we aren't.

Next, the victim became my dad. I just woke up from my nap, went downstairs to buy my dinner and realised that my dad gave me a missed call. Not knowing what's the matter, i gave a call back. Only to find out that he wanted me to bring up some stuff which is in no way urgent. I was super pissed. Why the hell would my dad want me to go down to pick up bread, joss sticks and 2 garlands of flowers? I mean the really small garlands. Can't he bring it up himself later? And the weather was freaking humid i sweat while going down. My mood immediately swung from worse to worst! I know i shouldn't be feeling this way, but i could not help it.

I hope... tomorrow will be free of such pissing me off events. It's a friday anyway. If such things were to happen, i would seriously kill myself.

THE BIG 23

First of all, thanks to all whom made my 23rd a rather pleasant one. Firstly the physics gang whom, bought me a cake and then had fun at Kbox. Though we were chased out like after 2.5 hrs, im sure the time spent inside wasn't one that i can forget easily.

Next, thanks to all those whom sms/facebooked me and wished me well and happy birthday. The feeling is unbelievable. I was actually contemplating counting the number of wishes i have and then recording it down to see if my 24th will be as well received, but by doing that i am inevitably celebrating my old age, something which i do not want. 23 years had just passed by so silently. But i still feel like i am 18 or 21. Being older by the years merely means that your responsibility as an adult is piling and i am expected to do things which i wasn't expected of. This birthday sets me to think who my friends really are. And i actually have quite a number of good friends, that's certainly very pleasant to learn.

Next to my bunch of ever-so-cool secondary school pals. I feel very touched and remembered when feng asked me out on my birthday for dinner. That's the point i know that my bunch of ever best friends are still there for me.

Now im awaiting the cake cutting session with my family. Thanks Dad, Mum, sis and bro for everything. I still treasure family the most.

The celeb will prolong and extend for 2 or more days i hope, meeting different groups of people. Now i have to do up the indon bulletin. Bye!

Feel relieved... At least..

Been a tough weekend for me, obviously cramming for thermo test today. Finally feel so relaxed, lying on my bed, facing my ever beautiful and loving carrie.. Oh ya. carrie just got a boost of RAM today. Now it runs on 3GB ram. So fast and beautiful. Oh and i am duper excited about my Darwin trip. Having just extended the trip by 1 day, i was planning the itinerary but failed because it was so damn hard i swear to god. Everything in Aussie is not rich, its not like planning a trip to Bangkok of Ho Chi Minh City where one feels like he owns the world and is a millionaire.

Renting a stupid sedan car for a day already costs about 200 bucks, and renting a campervan costs about an astonishing 700 bucks, that is excluding all the miscellaneous fees and stuffs. Renting a hostel itself is roughly about 24 bucks a night, compare that to Vietnam's 5USD a night. See the difference? But i guess its all worth it. Frankly speaking, i seriously cannot wait for 4th June to arrive and visit the Northern Territory with my naked eyes. LOL.

Caught in the Middle

Really disappointed with myself... Flunked yet another test. That sets me thinking : How come some people can do well even when they do the minimal and you don't seem to even get close to them even though you spent a countless amount of time on it.

I know this is reality but reality hurts at times. Time management and smart studying is the key i suppose. Cannot finish the test in 2 hrs? You gotta write a hell lot faster than what you did today. Know your stuff and do it well. Result was lousier than expected and it turns out that way. Below mean again. So, i might as well concede defeat in the rat race to the front of the bell curve.

My work hasn't really paid off as it was supposed to be. Constant tutorialing, constant questioning has not kept me above the surface. I am like partially submerged in a sea of complicated physics content which sometimes you think you know but sometimes you think you do not know. Of course, my grades are certainly not somewhere in the middle, just an analogy there.

It's quite sad how one can get poor grades for something that he really likes relative to other modules and get better grades for the less interesting modules. To be frank, i prefer QM than any other PC modules ever taken. It seems that when one likes the module more, the worse he/she performs for it. Maybe i should just start hating QM. But, i reckon it's a bit late. The damage has been done. 2 15% CAs certainly has put some people way ahead of me and it will take a miracle for me to climb all the way up. However, i am not 100% dejected because i believe i can do it in the final exams. Statistics and trend has shown that the worse i do for my CAs, the better i do for my finals. But, this time round, with a very pathetic cohort of 31 people, it seems that the stage has been set for nothing above a B-.

However bad i've done in my test, one must realise that it's not end of the world. Certainly. Exams are a very good avenue to redeem oneself and atone with the mistakes one has made. I am sure i am somewhere in the middle of the cohort but just that sometimes it takes more than just hard work and intellect to judge where you're standing.

Thanks to the 2 CAs i've realised the importance of the final exam and i will definitely strive for the best, not disappointing people who has expectations of me. Most of the stuff have already been revised and now the magical touch is how i am going to perform for the finals. Please, god, help me for this time. Please let me smell a cap of 4 this semester round. Please, please. Nothing beats the realisation of good results when you're away on a holiday. You know i studied and please reward me with fruits i deserve. Thanks!

Amidst all the craziness rushing projects, studying for tests and doing the endless stream of undo-able tutorials, there is certainly one thing that is making all these tasks seem more worthy. That is my trip to Indonesia this coming trip. This is part of my plan to visit every single country in SEA before graduation, less laos and those really chaotic places. This time the place of interest would be Yogyakarta. This seems so damn exciting. Imagine me making use of whatever i have learned in NUS. I'm certainly very excited. Even though this time i am going with a group of friends less close compared to those visited Vietnam with me last January, i am quite sure it will be another very memorable holiday trip. Time for me to whip out my camera. Talking about camera, my friend Ruyin made a comment on my passion of photography. She said i'm not passionate about it and also in general, everything that i do. I kind of disagree on that statement and found it a bit unfair on my part. But it's okay. I shall learn to accept every statement people make, people generally don't know me very well. I love photography, and i am very sure many good photos will surface after my trip to Yogya.

I've also learned something very interesting about one of my close friends. It's funny how she is my close friend when i know only 0.2% of her. Can closeness be judged from how much one know the other? To me, yes. That means i do not know her very well. I think that is a pity. Oh ya, her birthday just passed and i was busy searching for a gift. As you would have already known, i am a very calculative person and damn stingy(still trying to change). But when she said she wanted an ipod(after me grilling her for a suggestion), i actually give it a thought! That is certainly very strange! What does it mean? I have been thinking very hard about that but always fail to conclude anything. Maybe if you could help me arrive at an answer, i would appreciate it a lot.

It's 1.11am now as i am typing this sentence. Such a coincidence. Listening to Second chance by Shinedown. What a great song.

Just when you thought a sprained ankle is bad enough, well, you get another sprained ankle. Yes! After 2 months of not playing, firstly, i re-sprained my right ankle last monday and then... sprained my left ankle today. How am i supposed to take my ippt when such things keep on occurring? Argh, this is disgusting.

About my batam trip with my fellow bi3 friends; it was great! Although i must say it's pretty draining, physically but i really had fun trying to mingle with the locals and also learning more about the culture and lifestyle of the indonesians. However, i must say Singapore has a lot of involvement in the development of Batam, some even say it's actually a Singapore filled with Indonesians. Well, whatever it is, im sure there is something to learn from there.

Well, the trip started off with a bang! A tell-off from the Indonesian immigration officer. I feel so bad for the girls in front while i was out taking a breather. I should be the one taking the scolding rather than them.

I was the chief photographer for the day and i am rather disappointed with the quality of photos taken that day. Maybe it has been some time since i last went on a phototaking spree. Took 300 over photos of which only 100 were presentable. I was so damn tired by the end of the day, guess from the constant handling of the super heavy camera of mine. Sometimes i feel that i should have just kept my Fuji f50 to make things easier for myself.

Saya merasa senang sebab saya pikir saya bisa berhasa BI lebih lancar daripada dulu. Aku berharap bisa ambil bi4 kalau saya kembali dari selandia baru. harus pergi sekarang. Daaag!

Sudah jam sembilan kurang dua puluh menit, saya baru saja bangun. Tapi, saya masih merasa cape sekali, saya nggak tahu mengapa. Barangkali, cuaca hari baik sekali untuk tidur. Finally went to collect my pay, i cannot say im rich now, but im richer now. But i think i gotta curb my spending a little. My bank's suffering the aftermath of my crazy splurging. The weather's very PMSish, so damn hot in the afternoon but it was way cooler when the sun set. Well, i would prefer the latter cos i easily get headaches in hor weather.

Well, i was watching the travel show on channel u this evening and i somehow feel very relaxed after the host introduced the serenity and peacefulness of these 2 towns in Thailand and India. Life can be so easy and void of the complications in our every day lives. How can one imagine life to be without their cell phones or even their computers? Well, such commodities are considered luxuries that are way out of their reach, their as in those who live in the places. I always have this dream that one day i would put aside all my luxuries and start life like that, how simple it would be.

My computer has been very cooperative ever since i got it back and i'm rather happy with it. Now, i'm able to do my work and carry on my life. Please, do not die on me again.

What causes the apple to fall? Failed internal chips. Yes, the fall of my baby. R.I.P. Life has just suddenly became very empty and i feel lost. I refuse to acknowledge any other computer as my "work station"until i get it revived or i get another apple. But, reviving seems very impossible at this point of time as it refuses to start up and has been giving out weird sounds like it has been swearing at me at how bad i have been treating it. Trust me, i have been very faithful to you, less the times that i've used a windows laptop and also when i accidentally performed newton's experiments with you at the toilet in arts.

I've tried to make up to you by polishing the delicate keyboard of yours every single week, making sure it shines amongst the rest of the species in NUS. Please, bless me with another mac, so that i can resume life like how it was when i first got you. It was so smooth sailing, and hassle free. I just love you. Nothing has been as good as a servant. Rest assure i will never ever forget you, for your elegance and beauty.

Post Vietnam Review

A very big thanks to all who made this trip very successful. Even though we did not plan much prior to the trip, i must say everything well quite smoothly. Thanks to Lijuan and Jelvin, who really planned their asses off at the travel agencies. To be frank, i would never have expected a trip like that with my NUS friends, mainly because i thought i would never get so close to my NUS friends as compared to my other friends. Thank goodness i met great people like those who spent my 6 days in vietnam. Through the hot and the cold, we had tremendously loads of fun and i also managed to really know my friends better. Thanks to the trip also, i can say that i made a bit of improvements in my photog, testing out panning shots and also with remote flash. Ok, shall not talk so much about photog.

Next holidays would be even more exciting! Most likely should be visiting Amanda in KL and then (also likely) to Indonesia for CIP. Finally, if nothing gets in the way, my exchange to New Zealand! Yeeeeha! Ok, enough enough, to pay tribute to our trip, here are some photos!

After a 200 photo shoot today, i realised i have a major problem. My framing sucks. Either i miss out on some detail or i frame in extra details. Geesh.. Gotta make sure i frame properly next time. It was quite a challenge today for me, as its my first time shooting an indoor event with a strobe, SB-800. It wasn't easy to handle, cos its like an additional set of skills that is required to use that extra flash. But,im happy simply because at least i took the first step and explored the world of indoor flash photography. Thanks to Kenne and Liaoz for their equipment! This is the photo of the day for me because this old uncle, i assumed is a cancer patient, posed for me! It was so rare for them to pose, most of them were frowning. But its ok, i think old people are lovely. Here you go

Just what is so wrong with a foreign workers' dormitory being situated in Serangoon Gardens?

Hello people.. after all, all the beautiful houses that you are living in now are all built with the very hands of the foreign workers. They have paved our roads, built our houses, spurred our economy and now we are denying them of a place to shelter their heads from? Isn't it ridiculous? This is analogous to like abandoning your parents once you have grown wings as the chinese idiom describes.

Maybe its just the problem with the richer people staying in the area. Hello... we are already putting them in a FENCED UP abandoned school. This is, in my opinion, worse than a caged animal. Give them a break people. They haven't really created much trouble for us right.

Yes, if you feel really unsafe with foreign workers lurking in your neighbourhood, by all means, yes, step up police petrol. But, imagine, put yourself into the shoes of the workers. Are we singaporeans looking as though they are freaks?

"I am thinking of moving out," said a resident.

Ya, get out, please. Your just another spoilt Singaporean. Maybe ur vacated house can be used to accomodate the foreign workers. Sometimes, i wonder, if we'd just gone with the whole dorm thing without bringing it up with the residents, would such issues ever be raised? The residents might not even realise that the dormitory existed.

Yes yes... you might be a resident in Serangoon Gardens, i dun care. R-e-c-i-p-r-o-c-a-t-e. If you feel offended reading this post, i'm sorry, I cant help it. Im just giving my 2 cents worth on this issue.

No, its not my bruised leg from Muay Thai, it was something else. I was limping home in the drizzly rain, listening to the Muttons on 987fm. Well, just when i thought i was just a pathetic lame soul trying to make his way home, someone approached me and said ," Are you okay? Do you need help? What happened? "

The few words, thought may seem trivial to u, it meant a lot to me. That was a guy and i bet he's not local. Even though he did not offer to shelter me with his umbrella, those few words of concern definitely warmed the inside despite the chilly rain.

Where are all the good souls in the world? They will surface when there's u least expect them to.

I wasn't really shocked upon reading this piece of news. I've heard really bad stuff about malaysian cabs. But to think back on our recent JB trip, we were quite lucky not to have encountered any of them. Maybe it was due to the very pathetic knowledge of the malay language that i have that the cabbies dare not play play with us.

Comparing to cabs in Singapore, i must say we are darn lucky. One thing to try when your in malaysia : Ask for the cabby to run on meter, and not on a flat rate. Try it, i dare you.

Ordeal's End

Hell week is finally over. This week was certainly the worst week ever in my university life. GOSH. So tiring and the weather's a bitch. Seriously. So much happened this week, ST1131 test, PC2132 test, SEP application. Practically rushing to do everything together. It wasn't fun really. I think i screwed up my CM test. Being a bit sick the night before certainly killed off all hopes of at least a decent pass. Good thing is that, i do not need to go school tomorrow to complete my SEP application. Everything's done today and its great. Looking forward to Super Import Nights 2008 at Expo tomorrow. Good chance to try out my 70-300mm and also fotografi skills. Stilll have a lot to learn. Anyway, thanks to Shida, mario for helping me with my SEP application. Cant say more than thanks!

Muay Thai this week was fun, learnt some kicks. Kicked too much and i think i over-strained my back and also my feet. A bit stupid but yeah, that's life. And then... met with some 2t32 friends today. Din stay for too long though. Hope they had fun

Survived the day with 3 hours of sleep. Yes, u saw it right. 3 hrs. I don't know what's going through my pathetically small brain but it certainly had me tossing and turning in bed for a few hours. ST1131 Lecture basically served to replenish some lost sleep. Classical mech was as usual, boring and dry. The day started to run after lunch, whereby Jelvin, wendy and i went to arts to "sightsee". Met some friends on the way and then bought my BI 2 coursepack. Am really looking forward to class next week, at least im quite sure i will not see any more mathematical equations for 5 hrs a week.

People say that good things always come at the end, but i beg to differ. EM lecture was bad enough to set me pondering why im still straggling amongst the elites in my course. Life resumed to normal when i met Py for a run in the stadium. Was actually supposed to just get some sweat out of my non-active body but instead ran 10 big rounds non stop. It kinda woke up me actually.

Napped on the bus while on the way home but still feeling very sleepy. Anyway, my mind's really filled with things that should not even exist. WHY am i always giving myself unneccesary problems when i already have so much to handle? I guess i cant help with this worrisome personality.

Felt really bad for doing some things that i should not have even done in the first place. So i sincerely apologise to whomever i have offended or pissed throughout these few weeks. Please do not ask me who i am referring to, if i have done the latter to you, you should know it well.

Tomorrow is a free day and i am gonna rest my ass at home. 2 weeks have passed, 11 more to come.

Murderous Mathematics

Summing up what happened in school this week :

Was greeted with alien mathematics from far far away land. Classical mechanics slammed my confidence flat and EM dropped it further below sea level. For the first time in my uni life, i could not understand a single s*** that the lecturer was talking about. Maybe they weren't making sense, but i dont think its possible. Maybe they just seem senseless to me.

The week took another blow with EP and the super boring and out of this world experiment. Luckily, i met up with RISCO people like LG, Sherlyn and Siyao and it somehow soothed my day, which is Tuesday. Helped junior PB with her modules but didnt really help much.

Wednesday was a non-school day but went back to do lab, which totally killed my day. Oh ya, i somehow got a skin allergy and was itching all over with marks that look like rash. Kinda disgusting but some medication did the trick.

Today is thursday and i basically died in school. 8-4pm lessons. EM again was a killer and i think i need help.

Tomorrow is F-R-I-D-A-Y and im going back to do lab. WTF. Thanks. Looking forward to AGM!

The End is Here : A recollection

The holidays are over, with just a blink of an eye. Yesterday marked the official end of my holidays and it ended with a bang. Was pretty glad that i went over to din's place for a potluck-theme party. I do not know how my other holidays would be like, but this one certainly will leave a indelible mark in my memory. How exactly did my holidays start? This is how it went :

Straight after the exams, i reported for work at GUESS? and im quite sure nothing really happening took place, except for knowing people like regina, jason, fito and zara. Work is boring and monotonous and i quitted 2 months later.

Started my riding classes and i was glad that i took it, although it drained my money a bit. However, a few tuition assignments came up and it was too hard to resist. Went for RISCO'08 and got to know many cool and nice people and i've never regretted the sand fly bites in exchange for friendship. Thanks to people like JJ, PY, JEM, JAS, WC, KEV for guiding me throughout and camp. It certainly made me feel like part of the Rover's family. Thanks to my many freshies who brightened and spiced up the 4 days of madness adventure.

Then came TSPC, which gave me the opportunity to know even more people and colleagues of the future. Good and nice people like Farisa, Venyet, Szemin, Boon Ee, Joyce , Reuben and many more which made the volunteering really worth it.

Thanks to RAMBO for the super GEEKY party and the organised JB trip which only 4 people attended. Nonetheless, it was very fun and i wished such good times can repeat itself soon!

Then came RAG, which i really took hell lot of pictures and also videos. This is the first time that i am attending RAG and it was definitely a very good experience. Great floats, dances and atmosphere. The most important part is post-RAG activities. Visited Jamie's very happening PGP unit and then blading at ECP which the DUMBASS crew did our very first video production and i believe it will be a hit online. Thanks to JJ, Jamie and myself. The Rovers appreciation dinner was great also, which i finally found my SP, Sherlyn. I am so sorry for nominating you as my SP but i really felt empty without a SP when my friends all had. =) Hope youre fine with it!

Lastly, came Din's farewell potluck dinner at his place. I had fun with all the new friends made, like tammy, brandon, dave and his gf, and the guy who told us his RX8 story. Thanks to Budweiser and Heineken for the alcohol that night.

I must take this chance to thank my best friend Zhihan for influencing me to photography. Your Olympus really made me shoot like crazy. Also thanks for JJ for being so generous with his shuttle count on his D40. Thanks for LG, SK and witono for sharing with me their views and opinions.

School is finally starting in less than 24 hrs time. I don't know whether to feel excited or dejected. I haven't gotten my module and i hope everything will turn out well tomorrow. Thanks holidays!

I had a bad day again...

I piss the receptionist at YIH Health and Wellness Centre off today. No nonsense. Here is what happened:

I walked to the reception , asking to see one of the doctors, whom had seen me a few days before. However, the doctor wasn't around. So i simply asked if i could leave my number behind and when the doctor is back, then maybe he could give me a call to notify me, since it's unknown what time the doctor will come back. However, this is what i got back in return, " I don't think the doctor will entertain such requests."

WOAH WOAH WOAH, i was like, at boiling point. Then after a few more repetitions of what i've said earlier, what i got back were still the same answers. I stared at him and said "OK, FINE, I WILL COME BACK LATER!" and then i shook my head and walked off in disappointment.

The rest of the day was basically helping Jamie with her modules stuff and also talking to Jelvin at the rag corner. Seriously speaking, i really take my hat off. Jelvin was using a cotton bud, yes a cotton bud to touch up the paint of the big float. Jelvin, POWER.

Oh ya, was battling with the weather too. So damn hot. Also went back to PGP for a short visit, passed Jamie her pink pencil case and then drank bubble tea. Kinda missed the days spent there, although i din really have much friends there, other than brud and some STORM friends.

Then... went back to the doctor to settle my stuff, psycho-ed jamie to take bahasa indon and then dinner at YIH. Not a bad end to the day, had a talk with jamie and then headed home in a super long bus ride.

The rest of the week will be very hectic. Packed back to back. Hope Thursday comes soon!

Been blog searching and had this urge to do something to my blog other than just posting photos without any words. Yes! Pictures paint a thousand words but some words still can do the trick. Oh ya, i stumbled upon JJ's blog and "accidentally" saw my name and something about me and the idea of perception and judgement.

This is not the first time people see me and ask me if im an ah beng. It had happened umpteen times and i am still not immune to it yet. I simply don't like the link there. It's ridiculous. And upon some deep thoughts, i realised such comments only sprout out during group interactions like camps and gatherings. So, taking RISCO Rovers Camp for example, of course, an a facilitator, i had to play clown and keep the group active. So, i cannot avoid talking and joking and i somehow concluded that it is such stuff that linked me to the notation of "ah beng".

In contrast, during term time, no one really labelled me as such because i hardly talk, dun even mention joke. Even if i joke and made everyone else laugh their arses off, it was milder than what happened in RISCO.

Maybe people do not know me very well. There are only a handful who do, like my close friends from secondary school and also some from jc. I have my weakness and strengths. People like it, people don't. I can accept it. But i just don't fancy the comment that everyone else makes about me. Bear with me.

JJ, Peiyu, Jeremy and i , we had a heart to heart talk after our geek party night and i guess somehow they finally know what kind of person i actually am. I think maybe peiyu was the first person who was so scared of my personality because i overheard her discussing about my character with the rest of the OG on the last night of the camp. I dun really blame her because we both sort of grew up in different environment (like schools and etc) and its inevitable and she thinks of me that way. I was very shocked when Peiwen thinks of me that way too. Who to blame? Maybe i really look and behave like one. But YOU should know im not by the end of this post.

Even if im an ah beng, im a different one. A few classes higher than the norm.

Finally a non-fotografi/videografi post! URGH! Today's really lazy! I woke up at 1.30pm! Cant really believe it! Oh man, bidding's really a pain in my ESSO. I had to plan so much and do so many back up plans in order to have a smooth and hassle free timetable. To do QM or EM? The Verdict = EM. Because YEO YE is teaching. I had to print out a few timetables so that i could really sit down and plan. Goodness, wasted so much ink and time. As usual, alone at home again. Blasting my music so loud i cant even hear the construction going on outside.

I went on impulsive shopping yesterday and bought a new pair of glasses. Gonna collect it later! Hope it will be posted laters! Anyways, had been busy with stuff here and there. Taking yesterday for example, i woke up at 7.30am! Thats super early for my standard! Went for riding Circuit Revision and then went back home to chill before leaving again for TSPC Ceremony briefing! I was actually supposed to meet JJ for free movie but had to pang seh him to attend this apparently-end-at-6pm-meeting-which-actually-ended-at-3.30pm. After which i went back to AMK. The original plan was to just pop by the optical store to see if there are any new spec designs. But, i actually just bought it straight. Feeling a bit guilty now!

Going to collect my new specs and then tuition laters at 5pm. Have night riding lesson tonight and i can't wait to clear my lessons and book for my TP!

June is soon coming to an end, and my work stint at GUESS? is also coming to an end. People tend to miss their work places when they are about to leave but i don't seem to be feeling that way. In fact, i am hoping for Sunday to come quick so that i can finally break free from all the work politics and lazy people in the shop.

Work is super monotonous, hardly any challenges. Maybe the only challenge is to face Japanese customers because i totally do not understand a single word that they are saying. I needed to actually phone my sister to play translator over here. It worked and the customer bought a small bag from me. =) Maybe it will be a good idea for me to take up LAJ 1201 this coming semester.. Ya right.

Spent my last off day watching movie with my good friend. Incredible hulk wasn't that Incredible and The Happening wasn't that happening. In fact i was rather disappointed by how the story for The Happening ended. It lacked the typical M.Night Shyamalan's twist. Like how "The Village" ended. I still could not really understand how plants can kill men.

This coming off day would be another riding day for me at 1pm and then slacking off for the whole day. Might go to paya lebar to hunt for some stuff but it is only a might. I guess i will be too tired to move my ass there. Thursday would be a braces day with dental appointment then slacking off the entire day as well.

After these 2 off days will be the last 3 days of my holiday job @ GUESS?. Hopefully things end on a good note and i can leave without any worries or regret. Knew some really good people there as well as some really bad people.

Looking forward for more chances to shoot more great photos and also meet up with friends!

What a sunny and quiet sunday. Haven felt so calm and soothed for so long. Having a sore throat and clogged up phlegm. It sucks to have such a feeling when your off from work. Counting down to the days of freedom = 10 days. Well, this blog is supposed to be just dominated by photos but i haven taken any photos these few days cos there are practically nothing to shoot when everyday i travel to work and back home - in a rush almost everyday. I have been late for work almost everyday because of the jammed up traffic in town. Everybody's rushing to Suntec City to snatch the endless stream of IT products. Rubbing skins and continuous shoving around really makes my almost perfect sunday to a sucky one. Yess... i am one of them who visited the PC show but i went there for only 10 minutes, grabbed my HDD and left almost instantly. Peace will finally return when i report "early" for work on Monday.

It's fathers' day today and i am gonna have dinner with my family now. Await more great photos from an amateur. =)
